Camp Pawmark in Wisconsin

campPMlogo.jpgThey came from Calgary, New York, New Jersey and Tennessee to train with Ed Presnall and Mary Thompson on the campus of the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater.

It was late June and should have been a scorching week but the tracking gods were kind to us and gave us rather mild temperatures, light rain showers and a week of fun in the sun!

weim1.pngA Dalmatian, Weim, three Pointers, a Golden, a German  Shepherd and two Tervs worked through surface changes, summer campus construction and dozens of summer camps for students as they expanded their abilities to succeed in urban tracking.

As the attendees stated ...

In my experience, it isn’t often that instructors teach to the calibre they perform at themselves.  (I don’t know if it is because they can’t do it, or they won’t do it.)  Fortunately, Ed and Mary generously shared their time and knowledge without holding anything back.  They seemed to know when we needed a quiet word of encouragement, a few minutes to work something out, or a “light his tail on fire” kick in the butt to move things along.
