(2 - 4 mos. old at beginning of course) 6 week course - $40.00 Our Puppy classes are geared towards helping you get to know your special friend and helping your puppy become a happy, healthy, well-mannered dog. You will learn how to teach your puppy basic commands such as "sit", "down", "stand", and "come". The "controlled walking" exercises are the beginning of teaching your puppy to walk with you without pulling. Puppy basics, such as grooming, problem solving and socialization, are also covered. At CCOC, we take a positive approach to puppy training. We refer to it as preventative training, because it is much easier to prevent bad behavior than it is to correct it once it starts. Taking the time now to understand your puppy's instincts, as well as how he learns, will benefit you greatly for years to come. (over 4 mos. old at beginning of course) 8 week course - $50.00 Our Beginners classes are geared towards teaching you how to train your dog. Whether your goal is a well-behaved pet or a high scoring competitor, we can help you succeed. In the class, we teach the "sit", "down", "stand", and "come" commands, working to strengthen those commands you may have learned in puppy class (NOTE: Puppy class is not a pre-requisite for the Beginner class). We also teach the more formal "heel" command. As with our puppy classes, we take a positive approach to training, preferring to use a reward system, both with treats and verbal praise. The time you spend in training will not only improve your dog's behavior, but also increase the bond between the two of you, for a lifetime benefit. Contact Lou
